Synopsis
A Woman's Life (Une vie, 2016), watch online on iFILM — a French drama by Stéphane Brizé, adapted from Guy de Maupassant's 1883 novel. Judith Chemla plays Jeanne.
Normandy, 1819. Jeanne leaves her convent school and marries a local viscount, Julien de Lamare (Swann Arlaud). He turns out to be miserly and unfaithful. What follows is not one disaster but a slow erosion — each illusion traded for a harder truth, each year pulling her further from the girl who once believed in love and long summers.
