Synopsis

Cantinflas plays a hopelessly clumsy fireman whose young goddaughter comes to stay after her mother's death. A couple of disastrous call-outs later he decides the job is too dangerous and switches to the police force, figuring it'll be quieter. It isn't. A gang snatches the girl to get at the inheritance owed to her, and the fireman-turned-cop has to rescue her his own way — through a torrent of double-talk and sheer dumb luck.
