Synopsis
French Fried Vacation 2 (Les Bronzés font du ski, 1979) is Patrice Leconte's comedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. The sequel to Les Bronzés swaps the summer beach club for a snowed-in Alpine ski resort, with the same gang of self-absorbed friends back for more.
Bernard, Nathalie, Jérôme, Gigi, Jean-Claude and the others show up to ski and unwind, and the dream holiday falls apart almost on arrival. One is fighting with his wife, another is irritated by everything around him, a third keeps striking out at romance on the slopes. Roads vanish under snow, the lifts are no help, and the film's most quoted scene strands the group in the mountains while a local farmer serves them a vile homemade liqueur and a song in dialect.
The script grew out of the stage troupe Splendid, and nearly its whole roster is on screen: Thierry Lhermitte, Michel Blanc, Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Josiane Balasko.
