Clannad (2007) is a Kyoto Animation anime series you can watch online on iFILM. It mixes high-school comedy, quiet drama and a touch of the fantastical, with Tatsuya Ishihara overseeing the direction.

Tomoya Okazaki is drifting through his final year of school with no real purpose. He lost his mother in a car crash, his father turned to drink, and the two of them barely speak without fighting — so Tomoya skips class and settles into a reputation as a delinquent. Then, at the bottom of a hill, he meets a soft-spoken, slightly odd girl named Nagisa Furukawa. She's a year older, held back by illness, loves dango buns and talks to herself, and dreams of reviving the school's dead drama club. Helping her slowly nudges his own life in a different direction.

Adapted from Key's visual novel, the show is known for how gently it slides from everyday gags into themes of family, loss and growing up.
