Szamanka

Andrzej Żuławski's Szamanka (1996) — a Polish-French art-house drama — is available to watch online on iFILM. The director known for the cult Possession constructs the story around anthropologist Michal (Bogusław Linda), pulled between two consuming obsessions.

One is a 3,000-year-old shaman's body his team has just hauled out of a swamp — preserved, disturbing, unexplained. The other is a female student his classmates call "the Italian" (Iwona Petry): pure instinct, nothing she won't do, and indifferent to the damage she leaves.
