Almost Home

Almost Home (2014) is a DreamWorks animated short you can watch online on iFILM. In about four minutes, a band of aliens hunts for a new planet to call home and keeps landing somewhere disastrous instead.

Made as a teaser for the feature Home, the short introduces the Boov and their overconfident leader, whose bright ideas drag the whole species from one bad spot to the next. Steve Martin and Tom McGrath supply the voices. It's a light bit of family sci-fi with no scares, and a quick way to decide whether the full movie is worth your evening.
