Synopsis
"News from Planet Mars" (Des nouvelles de la planète Mars) — watch online this 2016 Belgian-French comedy from director Dominik Moll. Philippe Mars is an IT man whose life is organized around quiet disappointment: his kids see him as a loser, his sister shows enormous nude portraits of their dead parents in public galleries, and their ghosts still drop by to poke fun at him. François Damiens plays Philippe, with Vincent Macaigne and Veerle Baetens alongside.
Things unravel when a new colleague named Jérôme arrives at the office — unstable, unpredictable, and eventually appearing at Philippe's front door one night with a woman who has just walked out of a psychiatric clinic. The two of them dismantle every corner of his routine. A warm deadpan comedy about the type who tries to keep everyone happy and, precisely because of it, annoys them all.
