The Dog Problem

The Dog Problem (2006) — watch online on iFILM. Scott Caan's directorial debut stars Giovanni Ribisi as Solo, a Los Angeles writer who finished a year of psychoanalysis in worse shape than he started.

His therapist (Don Cheadle) drops him once the money runs out. Parting advice: get a dog. Solo gets the dog, visits a dog park, meets a woman (Lynn Collins). Things start to look up, then they don't. At 88 minutes the film stays lean, and the chemistry between Ribisi and Caan — who also appears on screen as Solo's best friend — carries it further than the plot alone could manage.
