The cast spans Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Merritt Wever and Judy Davis, and for a lot of viewers that lineup is the whole pitch.

GLOW creators Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch built the show from Irish author Cecelia Ahern's short-story collection. The angle is bold: real anxieties about body, voice and independence get filtered through fantastical what-ifs, and not every fable lands with equal force, but that unevenness is part of what keeps it alive.
