Project Blue Book (2019) is a Cold War mystery series you can watch online on iFILM. In 1950s America, the U.S. Air Force recruits astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek to bring scientific cool to a flood of UFO reports and to keep a jittery public calm.

Hynek is paired with the sharp-edged Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey). Case after case sends them across the country: lights over an airbase, a pilot who vanishes, a town gripped by panic. The scientist keeps hunting for a rational answer, but he runs into stonewalling and the growing sense that his own superiors are hiding far more than they admit. Aidan Gillen plays Hynek as a skeptic whose certainty quietly begins to crack.

The show grows out of the real Air Force program of the same name, shut down in 1969, and blends archival detail with detective work and paranoid thriller. It ran for two seasons, aired on History in 2019 and 2020. A good fit for anyone who loves retro mood, conspiracy theory, and a slow-burning secret.
