Being heroic is admirable; villainy is considerably more entertaining. That unresolved moral question drives each episode — not in a heavy-handed way, but through short, punchy installments that approach the dilemma from a different angle each time. Directors Gabe Swarr and Dave Thomas leaned into a vivid Mexican folk-art aesthetic that set it apart from anything else on the network at the time.
