Collide

Collide (2016) is Eran Creevy's high-velocity thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. An American named Casey Stein is stuck in Cologne, in love, and desperate for cash, so he agrees to one job behind the wheel. Inside a day, half of Germany's underworld is chasing him down the autobahn.

Casey (Nicholas Hoult) signs on as a driver for a crew of drug smugglers to pay for his girlfriend Juliette's medical care (Felicity Jones). The run goes sideways, and he ends up squeezed between two crime bosses who would happily bury each other. Hagen (Anthony Hopkins) is a smooth old-school kingpin; Geran (Ben Kingsley) is a loud-mouthed lunatic in a ridiculous wig. Both want their shipment back, and Casey's only play is to floor it. From there the film becomes a near-constant chase across night-lit autobahns, cars folding into wreckage at terrifying speed.

The story is as simple as they come, but the chases were shot for real with minimal CGI and never lose their momentum. The real draw is watching Hopkins and Kingsley ham it up, clearly enjoying every scene. It works when you want pure car-crunching action with nothing underneath. Stream Collide (2016) online on iFILM.
