Family man Nick Brewer vanishes. Then a video surfaces online: a battered Nick holding cards that read "I abuse women" and "At 5 million views, I die." The counter climbs by the minute. His sister Pia and his wife Sophie scramble to find him before it hits zero, and to figure out what Nick was really hiding. Adrian Grenier plays the missing father; Zoe Kazan and Betty Gabriel play the women who thought they knew him best.

Every installment belongs to a different narrator, a detective, a reporter, a stranger, a son, so the same facts keep shifting shape as you go. Brad Anderson, of The Machinist, directs part of it. The show nails the dread of internet pile-ons and how fast a crowd will convict a man it has never met. Great if you like solving a puzzle right alongside the characters.
