Synopsis
Hudson Hawk (1991) is a caper comedy with Bruce Willis you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Michael Lehmann, it follows master safecracker Eddie Hawkins, freshly out after ten years inside and dead set on going straight.
That plan lasts about a minute. A pair of unhinged billionaires, the Mayflowers, blackmail Eddie into lifting three Leonardo da Vinci pieces from the most guarded museums on earth, or his buddy Tommy dies. The CIA, the Sicilian mob, and a candy-bar-named gang of goons all crash the job. Danny Aiello plays the partner who times each heist by singing old standards, and Andie MacDowell turns up as a nun who is not quite what she seems.
The movie bombed hard in 1991 and swept that year's Razzies, then slowly found its crowd as a cult oddity. James Cobern, Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard push the whole thing into cartoon territory on purpose. If you want an action flick that openly mocks action flicks, give it a shot.
