Synopsis
One Wild Moment (Un moment d'égarement, 2015) is a French romantic drama you can watch online on iFILM. Two longtime friends bring their teenage daughters to Corsica, and a single night on the beach blows their friendship apart.
Antoine (François Cluzet) and Laurent (Vincent Cassel) are vacationing by the sea with their girls. Laurent's daughter ends up seducing Antoine's friend, and for her it is a first real love; for him it is a lapse he wants to bury. The girl confides in her father that she has fallen for an older man but refuses to name him. So Antoine, never suspecting the truth, sets out to hunt down the nameless seducer, swearing to shoot anyone who touched his child.
Jean-François Richet remade Claude Berri's frothy 1977 comedy, flipping the genders of the central pair and trading mischief for something far more uncomfortable. Cassel and Cluzet carry all the awkwardness, playing it for laughs right up to the point where it genuinely stings. Warm Mediterranean light, a distinctly thorny premise.
