About

Synopsis

K-9 (1989) is Rod Daniel's crime comedy, ready to watch online on iFILM. Narcotics detective Michael Dooley, played by James Belushi, has gotten under the skin of a major drug dealer, and the dealer wants him dead.

The partner Dooley gets stuck with is a police German shepherd named Jerry Lee, trained to sniff out narcotics. The dog is clever, stubborn and clocks in only when he feels like it, wrecking Dooley's car, trashing his apartment and sabotaging his love life along the way. While the two bicker, the kingpin's men keep closing in. Watch for Ed O'Neill and Kevin Tighe in smaller roles. It's broad, a little dumb and genuinely likable: a late-'80s buddy picture where the fun is in the man-versus-dog squabbling, not the chases. Good for anyone craving a no-fuss cop romp with a four-legged sidekick. Stream K-9 (1989) online on iFILM.
