About

Synopsis

The Legend of Drunken Master (1994) is the Hong Kong action classic you can watch online on iFILM, starring Jackie Chan as folk hero Wong Fei-hung. Heading home from a trip with his father, Wong stumbles into a smuggling plot to spirit priceless Chinese artifacts out of the country.

To stop the foreign buyers looting his nation's heritage, Wong fights the only way he knows — Drunken Boxing, a style where the drunker he gets, the deadlier he becomes. The problem: his strict father forbids him to drink, and the technique falls apart sober. Chan threads family duty and brawling through pure slapstick. Anita Mui shines as his scheming, supportive stepmother, with Lau Kar-leung directing.

The final brawl in a steel mill is one of the most reckless set pieces Chan ever filmed — minimal wires, real stunts, real injuries, including a crawl across burning coals. If you want kung fu with zero CGI, where every hit looks like it actually hurt, this is the benchmark. Stream The Legend of Drunken Master online on iFILM.
