The Fall (2013–2016) is a BBC crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson flies into Belfast to review a stalled investigation after local police spend a month getting nowhere near their killer.

Gibson reads the pattern at once, and that is the show's bold gamble: the audience knows the murderer from the opening hour. He is Paul Spector, a devoted husband, father of two and grief counsellor who hunts young women after dark. Gillian Anderson makes Gibson icily controlled, while Jamie Dornan plays Spector with charm and revulsion pressed right up against each other. Cutting between the hunter and her prey across two parallel lives is what powers all three seasons.

Creator Allan Cubitt built less a whodunit than a study of how violence against women hides behind a mask of ordinary domestic life. Seventeen episodes, a story carried through to its end.
