Arthur

Arthur (1981) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Steve Gordon. Dudley Moore plays a giggling, perpetually tipsy heir who treats sobriety as someone else's problem.

The setup is a trap with a price tag. Arthur stands to inherit $750 million, but only if he marries the proper, painfully dull woman his family has picked. Then, days before the wedding, he falls for Linda, a quick-witted waitress he catches shoplifting a tie. Moore makes a useless drunk weirdly lovable, and Liza Minnelli gives Linda a streetwise spark that keeps the romance honest rather than sappy.

The film really belongs to John Gielgud as Hobson, Arthur's deadpan valet, who tucks his grown employer into bed and fires off insults sharper than anything else in the script.
