Daniel Glass is a going-nowhere slacker until a cancer scare flips his whole life: his boss softens, his girlfriend warms up, everyone suddenly cares. The catch is that the diagnosis was wrong, and by the time he knows it, owning up feels impossible. So he keeps faking it. One lie breeds the next — insurance fraud, blackmail, creeping suspicion, and a body that needs dealing with. By the back half, Officer Hayward is closing in and Daniel's doctor will do almost anything to keep the secret buried.
Two performances carry the season: Rupert Grint as the charming liar and Nick Frost as the physician digging the hole right alongside his patient. The humour is dry and mean, and it won't be for everyone. Stream Sick Note Season 1 online on iFILM.
