Rock of Ages

Rock of Ages (2012) is Adam Shankman's jukebox musical you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1987, the Sunset Strip is drowning in hair metal, and small-town Sherrie steps off the bus into Hollywood chasing a singing career. The city hits back fast.

She lands a waitress gig at the legendary Bourbon Room and falls for Drew, a bartender with rock dreams of his own. Looming over the whole scene is Stacee Jaxx, a burned-out megastar played by Tom Cruise, who belts "Pour Some Sugar on Me" with total commitment. Around them swirl Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti and Catherine Zeta-Jones as a churchgoing crusader out to clean up the Strip.
