Synopsis

A car crash on a snowy night leaves Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) unable to age. The gift becomes a cage: every decade she changes her name, her papers, her city, cutting ties before anyone notices the face that never moves. Only her now-elderly daughter knows the truth. Then Adaline meets Ellis (Michiel Huisman), and for the first time in years she wants to stay. A weekend with his father, played by Harrison Ford, drags her carefully buried past straight back into the present.
Krieger shoots it like an old Hollywood romance: a chronicler's narration, soft light, jazz on the soundtrack. Ellen Burstyn, as the aged daughter, gives it a genuine ache.
