One tattoo stops FBI agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) cold: his own name, printed across her back. She gets called Jane Doe — Jaimie Alexander in the lead role. The FBI team, including analyst Patterson (Ashley Johnson), quickly figures out each tattoo is a map to a crime, a conspiracy, or a buried government secret. They decode the marks one by one, but the deeper they go, the bigger the question: who turned a human being into a living cipher, and why point it straight at Weller?
