Synopsis
Boss Level (2021) is a sci-fi action film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Joe Carnahan with Frank Grillo as Roy Pulver, a former special forces operative stuck repeating the same morning over and over. He wakes up, and within seconds a man with a machete is already through the window. Then comes the helicopter, the sword master, the two drivers, and a revolving roster of killers who all know where he is and he has no idea why.
Roy dies constantly. He also gets better. Each loop he survives a little longer, figures out one more attacker, and edges closer to the reason his ex-girlfriend Sunny (Naomi Watts) — a government scientist — was killed. Colonel Clive Venator (Mel Gibson) sits at the center of it, and Michelle Yeoh appears as a blade instructor in one of the film's sharpest scenes.
Carnahan plays the structure like a video game with checkpoints: the tone is dark comedy more than grim thriller, and the violence gets more inventive as Roy's skill set grows. Watch Boss Level (2021) in full online on iFILM.
