A crew of misfits with complicated pasts is hired to steal a powerful artifact from a fortress controlled by a dangerous mage. Every character carries a personal reason to be there, and the job goes sideways in the ways jobs always go sideways in Thedas — betrayals, ambushes, alliances nobody planned on.
