Synopsis
True Blood (2008–2014) is HBO's supernatural drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Showrunner Alan Ball adapted Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries novels into a Louisiana where vampires have gone public — synthetic blood called Tru Blood freed them from hunting humans, but civil rights, suspicion and old appetites make coexistence messy.
Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is a small-town waitress who reads minds, which makes the undead Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) an unusual relief — his thoughts stay silent to her. That quiet draws them together and drops Sookie straight into the crossfire between vampire politics, shapeshifters and anti-vampire zealots. Then there's Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård), a thousand-year-old Viking vampire with his own agenda, running his bar and everyone around him.
