His Dark Materials (2019) is a BBC and HBO fantasy series you can watch online on iFILM — a three-season adaptation of Philip Pullman's award-winning trilogy. Dafne Keen plays Lyra Belacqua, an orphan raised among the scholars of Jordan College in a parallel Oxford where every person's soul takes the shape of an animal companion called a daemon.

When children start vanishing and the glamorous Mrs Coulter (Ruth Wilson) appears with unsettling interest in Lyra, the girl sets out north toward armoured bears and the skies of the Arctic. James McAvoy plays Lord Asriel, Lyra's enigmatic guardian whose own obsession with a mysterious substance called Dust drives the larger conspiracy. In season two, Lyra meets Will (Amir Wilson), a boy from our world who carries a knife that slices openings between parallel universes. The series ran to three seasons and 24 episodes, completing the full story of Pullman's trilogy — The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.
