Power has long since passed to witches and werewolves, and Klaus and his kin have to claw their old influence back. Joseph Morgan plays Klaus, a vampire-werewolf hybrid whose charm matches his cruelty. Beside him stand the honorable Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and the rebellious Rebekah, bound by the vow "always and forever" even when they are ready to tear one another apart.
