Synopsis

Skeeter plans a book this town would never allow: Black maids telling the truth about working in white households. Aibileen (Viola Davis) signs on first, a woman who raised seventeen other people's children and just buried her own son. Then sharp-tongued cook Minny (Octavia Spencer) takes the risk. Conversations like these could land them in jail, or worse. Bryce Dallas Howard plays the town's poisonous socialite, with Jessica Chastain alongside.
