Halloween II

Halloween II (1981) is the direct follow-up to John Carpenter's slasher landmark — watch it online on iFILM. Director Rick Rosenthal picks up seconds after the first film ends: Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, and Michael Myers is already on his way there.

The hospital setting strips away the suburban safety net. Fluorescent hallways, skeleton-staff nurses, and long stretches of silence give Myers room to work. Donald Pleasence returns as Dr. Loomis, still hunting — still one step behind. Dick Warlock plays Myers this time, and the performance is colder, more mechanical than ever.
