mid90s (2018) is Jonah Hill's feature directorial debut — watch it online on iFILM. Los Angeles, the middle of the decade. Stevie is thirteen, living with his mother and an older brother who knocks him around when the mood strikes.

He finds a different kind of family at the skate shop down the street. The crew — easygoing Fuckshit, ambitious Fourth Grade, loyal Ruben, and their de facto leader Ray, played by Na-kel Smith — takes him in. Over one summer, Stevie trades the walls of his apartment for parking lots, hip-hop parties, and the kind of trouble that feels like freedom until it doesn't. Katherine Waterston plays his mother, working nights and losing track of who her son is becoming. Lucas Hedges is the brother — tight-wound and dangerous.
