Synopsis

The Omen (1976) — watch online this landmark supernatural thriller on iFILM, directed by Richard Donner. Gregory Peck plays Robert Thorn, a US diplomat whose newborn son dies in secret. A priest offers him a substitute from the hospital — another child, no paperwork, no questions. Robert accepts. He names the boy Damien.

Years pass and Damien grows into a quiet, watchful child. People around him begin to die in escalating ways. A photojournalist (David Warner) starts noticing shadows in his photographs, each one marking the next victim before the fact. Father Brennan, a priest with specific and urgent knowledge about the boy, cannot stay alive long enough to deliver it. Robert Thorn has to decide what he believes — and what a father owes a son who may not be his son at all.

Jerry Goldsmith's Oscar-winning score — choral Latin over full orchestra — turns every quiet scene into something ominous. The film launched a five-part franchise, but the 1976 original has a restraint the sequels never matched. Stream The Omen (1976) online on iFILM.
