Synopsis

Field of Dreams (1989) is a fantasy drama directed by Phil Alden Robinson that you can watch online on iFILM. Kevin Costner plays Ray Kinsella, an Iowa farmer who hears a voice in his cornfield: build a baseball diamond and they will come.

Ray does. He tears up the crop, builds the field, and watches the ghosts of legendary players appear at the edge of the outfield — among them Shoeless Joe Jackson, played by Ray Liotta. His wife Annie (Amy Madigan) stands by him while the bank circles. James Earl Jones turns up as a reclusive writer who becomes the key to understanding what the voice really wants. It all runs 105 minutes and ends where it had to.

Adapted from W.P. Kinsella's 1982 novel Shoeless Joe, the film earned three Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. The sport is a backdrop; the actual subject is a son's unresolved grief over a father he pushed away. Stream Field of Dreams (1989) in full on iFILM.
