Synopsis

Aliens in the Attic (2009) is a family sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM. The sprawling Pearson clan gathers at a rented summer house for vacation. Up in the attic, meanwhile, a squad of tiny green aliens has touched down to scout the planet for invasion.

Only the kids end up fighting back. The grown-ups never notice a thing, and worse, they get zapped by a control device that turns them into puppets. So defending the house falls to the teenagers and the little ones. Carter Jenkins, a young Austin Butler and Ashley Tisdale lead the cast, while J.K. Simmons and Josh Peck voice the invaders. Gadgets get stolen, control sticks get hijacked, and one beefy relative is forced to dance against his will — easily the film's best running gag.

Director John Schultz keeps things simple and aimed squarely at family movie night, leaning on stunts, chases and silly mayhem rather than any deeper point. It works for kids around eight and up and for parents who want a harmless adventure with no scary scenes. Stream Aliens in the Attic (2009) online on iFILM.
