Sid the sloth finds three giant eggs and immediately decides he is their mother. His friends try to return them before the actual mother shows up — too late. A T-rex drags Sid and her hatchlings underground, into a tropical world sealed under the ice where dinosaurs never got the extinction memo. Manny, Diego and the others follow, and the only guide they can find is Buck: a one-eyed weasel who hunts dinosaurs solo and has clearly been alone for a very long time.
