Teen Titans (Seasons 1–5)

Teen Titans (2003–2006) is the Cartoon Network animated series based on DC Comics, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Five teenage superheroes share a T-shaped tower, guard Jump City, and bicker over the last slice of pizza between missions.

Robin runs the team — Batman's former sidekick, all discipline and grappling hooks. Beside him: Starfire, an alien princess who fires energy bolts but keeps tripping over Earth customs; Raven, a half-demon who locks her powers behind a flat, careful calm; Cyborg, part man and part machine; and Beast Boy, the green jokester who can morph into any animal he names. Their recurring nemesis is the masked mercenary Slade, whose schemes thread through the whole run.

What set the show apart was the anime styling laid over American comic-book heroes — sharp arcs about growing up and betrayal sitting right next to flat-out goofy filler episodes. Tara Strong, Greg Cipes and Scott Menville lead the voice cast, and J-pop duo Puffy AmiYumi sang that theme song. It plays for kids and for anyone who grew up on it.
