The WONDERfools (Season 1)

The WONDERfools (원더풀스, 2026) is a South Korean sci-fi action comedy on Netflix you can watch online on iFILM. Director Yoo In-sik sets the story in 1999, when Y2K panic has everyone convinced civilization is about to collapse. Instead of the apocalypse, a small group of completely ordinary townspeople suddenly develop superpowers — and none of them have the faintest idea what to do with them.

Park Eun-bin leads as Eun Chae-ni, a young woman who gets abilities she never asked for and problems that come with them. Cha Eun-woo plays Lee Un-jeong alongside a cast of neighbors who each stumble into their own strange new reality. There are no mentors, no training montages. Just people figuring things out mid-crisis while the threat to their town grows real. The series was produced by Kakao Entertainment and Fantagio.
