Synopsis
The Prince of Egypt (1998) is DreamWorks Animation's epic musical you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Brenda Chapman, Steve Hickner, and Simon Wells, it retells the story of Moses through Hans Zimmer's sweeping score and a cast led by Val Kilmer as Moses and Ralph Fiennes as Rameses.
Moses grows up a prince of Egypt, racing chariots and sharing pranks with his brother Rameses. Then he learns who he really is — a Hebrew child pulled from a reed basket on the Nile — and everything shifts. He walks away from the palace, crosses the desert, and comes back with a demand: let his people go. Rameses refuses. Ten plagues follow. The friendship that opened the film ends with an army swallowed by the sea. Michelle Pfeiffer, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Goldblum, Patrick Stewart, and Helen Mirren fill out the supporting cast.
