Curse of Chucky (2013) — watch online on iFILM, director Don Mancini's stripped-down return to the franchise that started with Child's Play. Fiona Dourif plays Nica, a wheelchair-bound woman grieving her mother's sudden death, when her controlling older sister arrives with her family. Then a package with no return address turns up at the door. Inside: a red-haired doll.

The house is isolated. The cast is small. And one by one, people start dying in ways that can't easily be explained. Brad Dourif is back as the voice of Chucky, and a late appearance by Jennifer Tilly ties this sixth entry directly into the series' larger mythology. Mancini ditches spectacle in favour of slow dread — locked rooms, dim corridors, and the creeping sense that Nica is the only one who sees the danger clearly.
