Gabriel Van Helsing works for a secret Vatican order — his past erased, his weapons impressive. His assignment: travel to Transylvania and help Anna Valerious (Kate Beckinsale), the last survivor of a noble family cursed by Count Dracula (Richard Roxburgh) centuries ago. Dracula's allies include three vampire brides, a loyal Igor played by Kevin J. O'Connor, and Frankenstein's monster — here a tragic figure portrayed by Shuler Hensley. David Wenham plays Friar Carl, Van Helsing's reluctant gadget supplier and the film's primary source of dry humor. Elena Anaya is Aleera, the most dangerous of the brides.
