Synopsis
Werewolf by Night (2022) is a Marvel Studios special presentation you can watch online on iFILM — shot entirely in black and white as a tribute to the classic Universal monster pictures of the 1930s and 40s.
Following the death of the legendary monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, an elite gathering of hunters converges on the shadowy Bloodstone estate. The prize is the Bloodstone gem — an alien relic of immense power — and whoever claims it after a ritual hunt will lead the order. Among the competitors: the enigmatic Jack Russell (Gael García Bernal) and the estranged Elsa (Laura Donnelly), both carrying agendas the other hunters can't see. Harriet Sansom Harris plays the steel-nerved Lady Verada who runs the ceremony.
The film marked the feature directorial debut of Michael Giacchino, better known as the Oscar-winning composer behind the scores for Up, The Incredibles, and multiple Marvel films.
