Winning the world title turned out to be a dead end: nobody hires people who make music with their mouths. Then an offer lands — a USO tour entertaining troops overseas. Beca, Fat Amy, Chloe and the rest pack up and reunite, only to discover the other acts on the bill play actual instruments. The Bellas have just their voices. Cue rivalry, a string of bad ideas, and a few secrets from Fat Amy's past she'd rather keep buried.
