Synopsis
The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) is a culinary comedy-drama directed by Lasse Hallström that you can watch online on iFILM. One hundred feet of road, two completely different worlds. Madame Mallory — played by Helen Mirren with icy precision — has no interest in sharing her clientele with fragrant spice jars and Bollywood music floating through her windows. But young Hassan (Manish Dayal) cooks with a palate that is difficult to dismiss: he masters French sauces the same way he handles a cardamom pod, instinctively. Om Puri brings earthy warmth as the family's patriarch, keeping the tone from ever getting too polished. What begins as a battle for local tables slowly shifts into something neither side anticipated.
