A Dog's Purpose (2017) is a family drama from director Lasse Hallström that you can watch online on iFILM. One dog lives several lives in a row, each time with a new owner, trying to figure out why it was born at all.

Josh Gad voices the dog, and its running inner monologue carries the whole story. First it's a golden retriever named Bailey who grows up beside a boy named Ethan (played as an adult by Dennis Quaid and as a teen by KJ Apa). Then the dog is reborn again and again: a police shepherd, a corgi, a stray. Different bodies, different people, but the same soul that still remembers everyone it loved before. Britt Robertson plays Ethan's first girlfriend.
