The First Omen

The First Omen (2024) is a horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Rome, 1971. A young American novice named Margaret arrives to take her vows and walks straight into something the church would rather keep buried.

At the convent orphanage, one girl pulls at her — Carlita, withdrawn and tormented by the same visions Margaret can't shake. The further she digs, the clearer it gets: someone inside these walls is working to bring evil into the world by flesh and blood. Nell Tyger Free carries nearly every frame, with Bill Nighy and Charles Dance lending the conspiracy a cold, courtly menace.

This is a prequel to Richard Donner's 1976 classic, and director Arkasha Stevenson builds the dread through slow, bodily horror rather than cheap jolts.
