Synopsis

George Fahmy is Egypt's biggest film star, and the state wants to use that. Pressured into a government-commissioned project, he finds himself not on a film set but at the table of people who hold real power. Then he meets Donya (Lyna Khoudri), whose connection to General El-Ghul makes every minute with her a calculated risk. Amr Waked plays Dr. Manssour, an adviser whose agenda only becomes clear when it's too late to step away. The camera, the politics and the romance are all pointing in the same direction — toward a reckoning no one can script around.
