Synopsis
Eloise at Christmastime (2003) is a family TV movie you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Kevin Lima and based on Kay Thompson's beloved Plaza Hotel stories. Eloise's mother is away — again — which leaves the precocious six-year-old with the full run of the hotel and a very big idea.
Sofia Vassilieva plays Eloise with the exact right amount of chaos. When she discovers that a hotel waiter is head over heels for the manager's daughter — who is already engaged to someone else — Eloise decides Christmas is the perfect time to fix it. Derailing one wedding and engineering another requires a plan. The plan is loud and gloriously messy. Christine Baranski and Jeffrey Tambor handle the adult comedy with ease, and Julie Andrews lends her voice to the production as a warm, reassuring presence throughout.
