Synopsis
Summer School (1987) is an American comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Carl Reiner and starring Mark Harmon. Gym teacher Freddy Shoop had his summer mapped out — sand, surf, and zero responsibility. Then the principal drops a class of remedial English students in his lap and threatens his job if they don't pass the exam in September.
The kids are a collection of misfits: horror-film obsessives, a slacker duo who stage their own zombie attacks, and students who barely speak English. Nothing in the standard curriculum reaches them. Shoop improvises — beach trips, movie nights, bets — and somehow starts getting through. Kirstie Alley and Courtney Thorne-Smith co-star, and Reiner himself plays the harried principal.
