About

Synopsis

In & Out (1997) is a Frank Oz comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Kevin Kline plays a small-town Indiana English teacher just three days before his own wedding.

Howard Brackett is engaged, respected and perfectly content. Then a former student turned movie star wins an Oscar and thanks his "gay teacher" on live television, in front of the whole country. The town buzzes, the bride panics, his parents are baffled, and Howard finds himself facing a question he has dodged his entire life. A pushy TV reporter (Tom Selleck) shows up with a camera crew to make it worse. Joan Cusack plays the fiancee whose wedding is quietly falling apart.

Paul Rudnick wrote the screenplay after Tom Hanks' real Oscar speech sparked the idea. It is a warm, fast farce stacked with familiar faces, from Matt Dillon to Debbie Reynolds and Bob Newhart. Stream In & Out (1997) online on iFILM.
