Madame

Madame (2017) is a French romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Amanda Sthers built the film around a sharp cast: Toni Collette and Harvey Keitel as Anne and Bob, a wealthy American couple freshly settled into a Paris manor, and Rossy de Palma as their maid Maria.

The trouble starts with superstition. Thirteen guests at the dinner table is unlucky, so Anne tells Maria to sit among the aristocrats and play the part of a noblewoman. It works rather too well — a rich art collector falls genuinely in love with her. What follows is a chase across Paris as Anne tries to undo the whole thing, and along the way reveals more about her own anxieties than she intended.
